RC Car comes in two versions for its operations. It could be operated on electrical power or through nitro fuel. Nitro fuel is a methanol based fuel that has nitro-methane in it. Apart from nitro methane in the RC Nitro Fuel, oil is added for lubrication and cooling. The oil that is added in RC Nitro Fuel for lubrication and cooling could be castor oil or synthetic oil. Combination of castor oil and synthetic oil are also used in RC Nitro Fuel. The performance of the RC Car depends on the type of RC Nitro Fuel that is used in it. There are variations in the percentage of oil that is used in RC Car.
The RC Nitro Fuel that is used in RC Cars like Traxxas Revo for racing purposes contains high percentage of castor oil or synthetic oil. This is needed for high efficiency in the cooling system of the racing cars. RC Cars that are not used in racing can use nitro fuel that has less percentage of oil in it. RC Nitro Fuels with up to 40% of nitro are available in the market. RC planes have less nitro content in it when compared to the RC Cars. Apart from the nitro fuel there are RC Cars that run on gasoline and they have spark plugs.
